Sharjah Chambers new portal
SHARJAH Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday announced the launch of its new portal, www.BusinessSharjah.com to connect its trade members to the growing marketplaces and extend market reach globally, said Saeed Obaid Al Jarwan, Director-General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday. BusinessSharjah also offers opportunities to Sharjah chamber members to get connected to a network that encompasses the whole of Middle East, Africa, CIS and the Indian subcontinent, he told a Press conference yesterday. BusinessSharjah. com brings to the 30,000 members of Sharjah chamber a unique blend of Internet technology and traditional business methods, he said, adding the current business environment demands that the technological inputs are introduced in our business process specially for enhanced visibility, identifying additional marketing opportunities with competitive advantage and also reducing the cost. BusinessSharjah aims at fulfilling these objectives of Sharjah companies, it brings a business model that has been created after a prolonged study as a result it blends technology with the traditional methods of doing business. Internet is changing the way business is done, it opens the doors for small and medium enterprises to compete on equal terms with larger companies and offers benefits that must be channelised to get the maximum advantage, said Al Jarwan. Animesh Basu, general manager, Businessdubai.com, said, The new portal will help members of the Sharjah chamber to access many markets at the same time, plus it has the advantage of being a part of a larger regional trading and business community with similar objectives. The step is a unique initiative of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry which will allow the private sector to launch into the new economy and increase robustness of the model through linkage to the growing regional marketplaces network. The local identity on own marketplace will be sustained and at the same time presence in the other marketplaces, said Basu.
